As a pianist and composer, Lu reinvigorates these tunes and transcribes them into solo piano works. Not only thinking about how to keep the original character of the folk songs, Lu also aims to maximize the potential of the piano. This creative combination leads to the ever-increasing popularity of his works worldwide. 

Artificial Intelligence in Independent Music Study: Value Maximization of ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a language model invented by OpenAI. It is good at generating human-like conversations. It can discuss lots of various topics, including the field of music study, which will be processed in this project. It can also supply suggestions and assistance according to the questions it receives. However, according to its official statements, ChatGPT works based on patterns in data instead of true understanding, which means it could make up something is not correct. Research bases on the music-relating topics, explores how much the ChatGPT could help, guide, and inspire, during actual independent music study.

TOCCATAS: Bach, Debussy, Prokofiev, and Diemer

A selection of toccatas by Bach, Debussy, Prokofiev, and Diemer. The research illustrate that certain intrinsic toccata features permeate these works, and the composers’ individual approaches to the genre to create highly original works, albeit all the same title.
